Before you ever have a chance to listen to music, there’s a whole process that goes into making it first. That, generally speaking, happens inside of a music studio — which are filled with a range of tech devoted specifically to producing music.
As you might expect, there are some pretty extravagant music studios out there, but some put the others to shame. Here are some of the most beautifully-designed and extravagant music studios on the world.

Abbey Road Studios is hard to beat. The studio is known around the world as the home of bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and more. It’s not an outdated studio either — more recently the likes of Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams, and so on have turned to Abbey Road Studios as a location for music production — and for good reason. It’s also the home of top-tier film soundtracks, like the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Justice League, and The Shape of Water.
The studio itself is pretty impressive. Abbey Road Studios actually has six studios, one of which it touts as the “world’s largest purpose-built recording studio.

This studio is a little less public. Actually, it’s totally private. Hans Zimmer is one of the world’s leading film scorers, and as such you would expect the legend to have a pretty big studio. But Hans Zimmer’s studio goes a little beyond big. Zimmer’s studio features dozens of synthesizers nestled in to beautifully designed architecture that will make any musician drool.

Established in 1956, Capitol Studios is one of the best-known studios in L.A. The studio is known as the home of artists like Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, Arcade Fire, and more. Just a few years ago, Capitol Studios was completely refurbished with new equipment, a new decor, and more.
Of course, as you would expect the studio features some pretty fancy equipment. Just take a look at the photo above, and you’ll see a Neve 88RS console, and Studio A is big enough to hold as many as 50 musicians — so you’ll be able to fit a pretty huge band in there.

Legendary recording studio Conway Studios has a massive list of past clients, many of which are at the top of the charts today. The likes of Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, and more have all recorded at Conway — proving that it’s arguably one of the most important studios today.
Conway was founded in 1972 as a small mastering studio, but since then has only grown. The studio is made up of three separate studios, as well as a beautiful garden for the artists to hang out in when they’re not recording. That makes sense — the studio is located in sunny California, so those that record there might want to take advantage of the beautiful weather.

If you’re a guitarist, this one’s for you — Electric Lady Studios is known for being the home of legendary guitarist Jimmy Hendrix, who bought the studio when it was a defunct nightclub called The Generation. Since then, it has become a staple studio on the East Coast, and served as home of the likes of B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Sly & the Family Stone, and more.
